Yes it is, we are a very small group and we meet somewhat infrequently quite

easiest way to setup a dual boot system with ubuntu is to get windows xp setup 
correctly and working. then defrag your HD (not required but a good idea and  
recommended). 
Unfortunately ubuntu (at least hoarey or warthog or whatever the last version 
was called) doesn't have a way to resize ntfs partitions. I have used the 
first mandrake/mandriva installation disk (it has the easiest graphical HD 
tool) to resize the ntfs partition and after resizing and writing the 
partition info you can reboot.Don't need to install mandrake.  then after 
rebooting you can do the ubuntu installation. i know that 
is a very general set of directions but honestly its not much harder than what 
it sounds like.
